Introduction

Welcome to 14 Cedar These Terms and Conditions are designed to ensure a smooth, secure, and enjoyable experience for all our guests. We strive to provide guests with a seamless booking experience while maintaining transparency and fairness in our payment and cancellation policies. By making a reservation, completing check-in, or entering the property, you acknowledge and agree to comply with the policies outlined below.

Check-In & Guest Identification

Self check-in is mandatory. All guests must complete the check-in form prior to arrival. During this process, guests may be asked to securely submit:

  • A clear selfie
  • A valid government-issued photo ID (physical ID only, no scans or screenshots)
  • An e-signature
  • Payment card details if not already collected

These details are used solely for identity verification, booking validation, and legal compliance.

To protect our guests from fraudulent activity:

  • We will never ask for sensitive information via unsecured platform

Payment & Cancellation Policy

At 14 Cedar, we offer various payment and cancellation terms tailored to different booking types to meet the diverse needs of our guests and manage bookings effectively. We kindly ask guests to carefully review and select the booking option that best suits their needs. All bookings require 100% pre-payment, processed securely via links provided through our booking system or official email communications. "14 cedar" will appear on your bank statement.

Refundable Policy ('Super-Strict Terms')

  • Payment: Full payment is taken at the time of booking and 25% is non-refundable.
  • Cancellation: No refund at any time above 75%, regardless of circumstances. This policy covers costs incurred by 14 cedar for holding accommodations and compensates for potential revenue loss.
  • Recommendation: We highly recommend guests take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover unexpected events such as illness or travel disruptions.

Weekly Stay Policy (‘7-13' Moderate Terms')

  • Payment: Full payment is taken at the time of booking and 25% is non-refundable.
  • Cancellation: Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival. If canceled within 30 days or in the event of a no-show, the full payment is non-refundable.

Monthly Stay Policy (‘13-28 'Firm Terms')

  • Payment: Full payment is taken at the time of booking and 25% is non-refundable.
  • Cancellation: Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival. Cancellations made within 30 days or no-shows will result in a non-refundable payment.

Currency

All rates are in United States Dollar (USD) unless agreed otherwise in writing. Payments in other currencies will be converted at the prevailing exchange rate determined by Stripe or its authorized payment processors.

Refund Processing Times

Refunds for eligible cancellations will be processed within 14 business days from the date of cancellation. The actual time for funds to reflect in your account may vary depending on your financial institution's processing times.

Local Taxes & Fees

All quoted rates are subject to applicable local taxes and fees, detailed in your reservation confirmation. Any additional taxes imposed after booking are the guest's responsibility and must be settled upon check-out.

Payment Processing

All payments made under the Stripe policies are processed by Stripe in accordance with the agreed booking arrangements.

Card Usage

The card on file may be used for identity confirmation, added services, or recovery of damages or violations.

Check-In / Check-Out Times

Check-in from 3:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., check-out by 10:00 A.M. Early or late check-outs are subject to availability and fees.

House Rules

  • No smoking on the property
  • No unregistered guests or parties
  • Quiet hours from 7:00 P.M. to 11:00 A.M
  • Use amenities responsibly
  • Follow all postage signage
  • Parties are permitted when both units have been rented together or the other unit is unoccupied and a $175 USD daily fee has been paid in advance on top of rent. These provisions are for parties of 30 persons or less.

Violations may result in removal without refund.

Prohibited Conduct & Safety

  • Illegal substances are strictly forbidden
  • $300 fine for tampering with smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors
  • 2 exterior security cameras on site, one on the front of the house and one at the back, facing the pool. The cameras are periodically accessed by the security officer and the owner to ensure the safety and security of guests. You cannot obstruct the view of these cameras.

Violations may result in removal without refund. In case of a medical emergency call the applicable specialist in the guest handbook.

Fire Safety

Familiarize yourself with evacuation routes. In your guest handbook there is detailed instructions on what to do.

Damage & Liability

Guests are liable for any damages. 14 Cedar is not liable for personal injury or loss unless required by Belize law. We strongly recommend travel insurance.

Data Protection

All collected personal data is securely stored and used only for legal and operational purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Compliance & Termination

Non-compliance may result in immediate cancellation of your stay without refund. These terms serve as the standard policies across all subsidiaries and associated brands under 14 Cedar.

Legal Terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belize. Any disputes shall be handled in their courts.

Long Term Stays & Discounts

Discounts cannot be stacked or redeemed with any other coupon. At checkout these discounts will apply if all the following conditions are met;

  • Booking was made through 14cedar.com or any other afiliated travel sites.
  • The guest has stayed for the minimum required amount of nights.
  • The discount is applied to a apartment/unit of equal or lesser value of what was booked.

The discounts are as followed:

  • 20% discount for renting 7 nights or more
  • 30% discount for rentals of 14 days or more
  • 50% discount for 30 days or more
